Located on Level 3 of the Mall of America’s food court, this vibrant Thai restaurant brings a quick-service dining experience designed for bustling crowds seeking flavorful and fulfilling meals without the wait of a traditional sit-down setting.
The menu highlights some tempting Thai favorites, including the succulent Mango Chicken glazed with a rich, slightly sweet sauce that perfectly complements its tender texture. For fans of classic noodle dishes, the Spicy Chicken Pad Thai delivers a punch of heat and a tangle of fresh noodles that awaken the palate, while the Bang Bang Chicken is a crowd-pleaser with its balanced mix of savory, spicy, and creamy notes. The option to customize with half rice and half noodles or upgrade to Singaporean yellow rice noodle adds a fun twist, inviting guests to explore different flavor combinations with every visit.
Customers often describe Ruby Thai as a reliable quick food fix, praising its consistent fresh flavors and solid portion sizes that leave you satisfied without feeling overindulgent. Some diners appreciate the speed and value, especially within the energizing atmosphere of a lively food court. The casual, bustling environment is perfect for those looking to refuel during a day of shopping or sightseeing in the mall.
While opinions on authenticity and flavor can vary—some have noted that the dishes lean toward fusion interpretations rather than strictly traditional Thai recipes—there's no doubt that Ruby Thai serves up a comforting and flavorful meal to suit a variety of tastes. The Mango Chicken’s thick, sticky sauce, the crispness of the veggie spring rolls, and the distinct curry options provide memorable moments of delight amid the fast-paced setting.
Whether you’re craving a quick Pad Thai, a spicy chicken dish to warm the senses, or a light Bang Bang Chicken plate, Ruby Thai at Mall of America stands out as a dependable spot to enjoy an Asian-inspired meal that’s both accessible and satisfying. For shoppers and travelers seeking a swift, flavorful meal in a welcoming environment, Ruby Thai is well worth a stop.
Came here on a whim when visiting the Mall of America. On Level 3 food court, it’s pretty fast moving with the crowd that eats this genre of Asian food. Nicely priced, I got the 3 item combo with Lemon Pepper Chicken, Red Curry and Spicy Chicken that was filling with an egg roll. You can also do half rice and half noodle. Or the Singaporean yellow rice noodle or Pad Thai are 50 cents extra. They have chef’s specials like Atlantic Salmon and noodle soups too.
If you’re looking for Thai food look elsewhere. This place is straight up Chinese fast food. I asked for Thai fried rice and the lady looked like I was asking for a burger. She said 15 minutes I said I’ll pass. I gave them a chance with the Chinese fast food and I honestly give it a 4 star, not bad for mall food. I ordered fried rice with a type of chicken and another type of chicken. It did its job nothing special.
I took a chance and gave it a go. Took the dive for the Mango Chicken. It was good, sauce was a little thick and sticky, but the fried rice was very nice. Veggie Spring roll was cooked nice, not overdone but was stick a little dry. All and all it was good, not fantastic, but worth another try someday.
Absolutely loving this spot in the mall for a quick Asian food fix! It's easily my go-to for fresh, flavorful options. With a variety of dishes to choose from, each visit feels like a new taste adventure. The food is consistently delicious and hits the spot every time. Highly recommend checking them out for a tasty meal that doesn't disappoint. Solid five stars!
I like Thai food so i was interested in this place when i saw the word Thai in front. I ordered Pad Thai but it has a very weird taste and watery conpared to pad thai i had in Thailand and other restaurants in US before. Other than that i dont see much food that is genuinely from Thailand. I came back in the other dat and ordered some rice with bang bang chicken and fish but the rice was too dry. It was not well cooked. And they charged more money when i added fish but i didnt notice. They didnt say that on the menu either. The only place you could see was a small label in the glass wall that covered the food. I came back one more time today and ordered some noodle and mango chicken. It was okay. Everything here seems deep fried and covered with sweet sauce but it is fine to me. I still like it sometimes. And this is a food court, not restaurant.
